Artist Row Community Support For several years Artists’ Row has been working with the Medical College of Georgia’s Arts Council. We have provided jurors for shows, paintings for receptions at Twin Gables (the Presidents house), and support for various projects that came up over the years. For the past year we have been conducting a monthly program at MCG-CMC, providing a hands on art project for the pediatric patients. |

MCG-CMC Program Artists' Row has been working with the Medical College's Arts Council for years on various projects. The idea for this project came up during a meeting with representatives from that group. The sessions at the Medical Center are currently held monthly. An artist volunteer serves as lead for the month's activity in watercolor, collage or clay and coordinates community volunteers to help the children with that month's selected art activity. Each session the children are provided with a brief respite from normal hospital routine and the satisfaction that expressing individual creativity can bring. They leave with smiles and framed paintings or a creation in clay. But I believe our volunteers leave with even more. If you would like more information please contact Richard Bush @ 706-951-6409. A tax-deductible donation may be made in support of the project by sending a check made out to Artists' Row with CMC project noted) and mailed to Artists Row, 1006 Broad Street, Augusta, Ga. 30901 The Artist’s Row Scholarship Program A program has been developed by Artist’s Row to provide a scholarship to a graduating CSRA senior that plans to attend an accredited college with a major in Fine Art. The program is supported by special fund raising projects such as The Celebrity Art Auction, Painted Palettes Auction, Tee Shirt and Poster sales as well as direct donations. The amount of the scholarship is determined by the success of the projects and donations. 100% of the money raised for the scholarship program goes directly to that fund. |
